1 NO TO TAN8 WIND FARMS & HIGH VOLTAGE LINES SPOILING OUR COMMUNITIES.
2 TRANSPORT OF WIND TURBINES IN MID WALES.
I would like to make the following remarks with regard to the above 2 petitions
I believe that TAN8 has complete disregard for the effect these 606ft turbines and massive pylons would have on the stunningly beautiful landscape of Mid Wales and for the people who live and work here.
This part of Wales relies heavily on tourism for a huge part of it's income.Who is going to want to come and holiday here once this gloriously tranquil landscape is desecrated by these unnecessary and uneconomic wind farms and pylons?The impact on the local communities will be devastating both visually and financially.
There has been no environmental study done on the implications of tan8 e.g concreting huge areas of upland Powys for the bases of these huge wind turbines,how will this affect flooding,bird and plant life etc?
I do not believe that there is any mention in TAN8 of the huge problems that will be caused on our roads in the transporting of these massive loads of 200 tons or more,these abnormal loads will not only cause traffic chaos which will have serious implications for the emergency services but will also cause structural damage to the roads and adjacent buildings .
On top of the over 3,000 abnormal loads and 22,000 plus loads of construction traffic during the years of construction,there would be extra loads year after year to maintain these 800 plus turbines. .
I understand that the Prime Minister has said that local people should have control over what is built in their area,Does this only apply to the people of England or are we who live in Wales going to have that right?
We who live in Mid Wales are the people who will have to live with the consequences of any decision made,please listen to us and consider our views.
